On behalf of all the REAL GOOD DOGS, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts and food bowls for the incredibly amazing generosity showered upon this rescue organization through your donations to the Adopt a Fur Angel tree program we initiated this year.
Because of your generosity, we received more than $1400 in donations of money, food, and supplies to care for our canines. This is a HUGE help to our organization and will help us help more deserving dogs and puppies.
This program would not have been possible without the vendors who allowed us to set up seven Fur Angel Trees. We thank them for the space provided and for the extra hustle and bustle in their business places as a result of our trees.
- Hollywood Feed store locations at Union Avenue, Poplar, Cordova and Oakland.
- Heaven’s Angels Grooming Salon at White Station/Cloverleaf
- Utopia Animal Hospital on Madison at Midtown I-240
- Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream – Paradiso and Germantown stores
We also wish to thank the anonymous (to us) office group who chose REAL GOOD DOG RESCUE as the beneficiary of their annual Christmas group giving effort. You know who you are and we are beyond grateful for your generosity to our really deserving real good dogs. Please know you helped many in need.
Our Fur Angel Tree Coordinator, Julie Clark, also wishes to thank all the REAL GOOD DOG volunteers who worked so hard preparing ornaments, providing decorations, and their time to help set up the trees. Without your gifts of talent and time, this new fund raising effort would not have happened.
Julie wishes to especially thank Director Lisa Trenthem who said ‘go for it’ when Julie asked if she could try this idea out. Lisa’s just probably glad Julie asked for permission instead of forgiveness!
We hope to expand the program next year and so we need more TREES for next year….if you have one you wish to donate to us, please call Julie at 494-3604. It does not have to have lights. All sizes welcome.
Again, we thank you for your generosity. Our best wishes for a Happy 2010.

I loved loved loved your Fur Angel Tree!!! I saw it in the Hollywood Feed on Germantown Pkwy and immediately ran over to find a furry angel. If ya’ll need any help with the trees next year or at any of your adoption days please let me know. I might only be able to help on occasion but would love to help when I can.
Thanks!
