SAT was a wet, cool day but we had a lot of activity at Hollywood Feed on Poplar and also at the Booksellers of Laurelwood. Cookie the border collie was adopted last week, and Sam, a new pup was adopted on SAT. We took many applications and are checking them out today! We were long on dogs and short on help, if you are interested in volunteering at events, this is a great way to help. Fiona was our photographer for the day, thanks Fiona!

Cuddles and Snuggles were adopted by Jane Wallace.

Felix was adopted by Terri Wright.

Pancho was adopted by Shelby Brown.

James was adopted by John – and you can see James’ new sibling, Hubbel in the pic.

In addition, we have applications on Dooley and Faulkner.

If you’ve not been there in a bit, they have greatly expanded – which means there’s more room for us (yay!), a nice room for bathing your dog, and lots more product from which you can select. Make sure to visit them if you’ve not done so lately.

At our 2012 Cinco de Mayo adoption event we had a LOT of volunteers who came out with their dogs and puppies and a LOT of visitors who gave lots of love to our puppies and dogs.

Nationwide, Three Dog Bakery Stores are having a food drive competition. All of the food donated at the Three Dog Bakery Store in Collierville, TN will benefit Real Good Dog Rescue!

You know we’ve rescued a LOT of pups lately – and with their growing puppy appetites, we can use all the food we can get!

We had the best time ever taking our dogs and pups to Rhodes campus to give the students a study break from their exams. The dogs had a blast and so did the we; the students were great giving them plenty of playtime and affection. Thanks to our host Chad for putting this together; we got some great donations of both funds and toys. But the joy was priceless!

We had a beautiful day on this SAT and many visitors. There were rescue groups from TN and MS and I think everyone was glad they came. Forrest was adopted by Kim Ross. Bentley went home with the Austin family. Cookie had a great time with his foster parents and visitors. Also shown here are Lucy, the aussie and Faulkner, our wheaton mix boy. WE had a visit from Firefly, the beautiful golden mix rescued from Tipton county shelter and adopted about three years ago.

We visited three different venues this Saturday and it was a long day! The dogs started at the Memphis Farmer’S Market, then on to hollywood feed, then Family Leisure. We adopted Della and placed Kyra and Pip on trial runs in new homes. We took applications on Pancho, Zori, Wally.  We will keep showing these pups until they are in safe homes!

Gale is the only pup not adopted, a two lb. male fuzzy guy Primrose1892 Primrose was a real cutie, also adopted today Rue and Primrose will live in the same household Cinna met his new mom today

We received our litter of the “hunger” pups named after the popular book today. We had some applications already. One of the five had been adopted in Paris,TN before we met him. Three of the remaining four  went to their new homes today. Gale is the only pup who is still needing a home.
